about me

Marion Olivier, VP Student Life

A bit about myself

Hi there! My name is Marion Olivier, and I am your VP Student Life this year! I am a third-year materials engineering student minoring in philosophy. I’m a big fan of wandering around Montreal, writing policies, drawing, and reading the EUS Wiki (not all at the same time). There’s a million ways to get involved, and I really recommend you do! Involvement Day, at the beginning of September, is an awesome opportunity to meet face-to-face with all the clubs and groups tabling. I can guarantee you’ll find something you’re passionate about; even if you don’t, you can reach out to me about starting a new club or design team. I’m always around to answer your questions – there’s nothing I love more than talking about the EUS, so don’t hesitate to shoot me an email. I hope to see many of you participating in events, clubs, design teams, or committees this year!

My role as VP Student Life

If you’re looking to get involved, it’s likely there’s an opportunity for you in the many groups I oversee: clubs, design teams, Junior Council, the Graduation Committee, SEAM (sustainability), and the mental health portfolio. I’m very excited to be taking on this role, particularly because it’s so new! I am especially looking forward to helping the Mental Health Committee grow and to help create more resources that promote wellbeing in the engineering community. I also set up EUS Council meetings, so if you’re curious about proposing a motion, or really passionate about the kind of pizza we get, hit up my office hours!
